Nederlandse Loterij CFRO -Jet Roos-van Aerssen- steps down
Jet Roos-van Aerssen has resigned from her dual role as Chief Financial and Risk Officer at the Dutch lottery.
Key points:
- Roos-van Aerssen replaced Arjan Blok who moved up to the CEO role
- She was an industry newcomer on arrival to the role in 2024
- No reasons for her departure have been shared
The Nederlandse Loterij has announced the departure of a senior figure in Jet Roos-van Aerssen.
Roos-van Aerssen had joined up with the Dutch lottery operator in 2024 as an industry newcomer, stepping into a dual role as Chief Financial and Risk Officer.
Previously, Roos-van Aerssen had worked in senior management roles in other industries, including advertising and broadcast media.
When she took up her post with the Dutch lottery, she replaced Arjan Blok who was moving up to the office of CEO.
Blok himself has commented on the announcement, saying: “Jet has made a significant impact on our organization and our contribution to sports and exercise in the past year and a half.”
Good to know: Arjan Blok has been vocal recently in his disapproval of proposed tax hikes in the Netherlands, which he believes could hurt channelisation efforts in the country
No reason has been given for Roos-van Aerssen’s departure, but Blok has wished her well in future endeavours, adding: “We've come to know her as a professional and appreciate her dedication to the Dutch Lottery.”
Likewise, news of a replacement has not yet been shared, though the state-owned operator has made some significant appointments in recent months.
In August, Claudia Sampaio came on board as Director of Retail, while Yvonne de Liefde was hired as Head of Sponsoring and Partnerships.
