National Lotteries Board Invites Kenyans to Apply for 9 Top Positions
The recruitment comes as Kenya advances plans to operationalise the national lottery system established under the National Lottery Act.
Kenya.- Kenya’s National Lottery Board has opened recruitment for nine senior positions as the regulator moves to strengthen oversight and operational management of the country’s lottery sector.
The vacancies cover key roles, including chief executive officer and fund administrator, which will oversee the management of lottery proceeds and ensure funds are distributed to public benefit programmes under the National Lottery Fund.
According to the board, the office holder will also provide policy direction and coordinate the implementation of the National Lottery Act, 2023. The position requires at least 10 years of relevant work experience, including five years in a leadership role.
Other advertised positions include general manager for lottery operations and communications, corporation secretary and manager for legal services, manager for partnerships and communications, finance and accounts manager, human resource management and development manager, supply chain management manager, manager for funding strategy and programme design, and planning manager.
The recruitment comes as Kenya advances plans to operationalise the national lottery system established under the National Lottery Act. Earlier this year, the board also invited bids for transaction advisory services linked to the procurement of a national lottery operator, indicating that preparations for full rollout are ongoing.
The general manager for lottery operations and communications will oversee compliance with gaming regulations, anti-money laundering rules, and operational agreements tied to lottery activities. The role requires 15 years of experience in related sectors, including gaming operations, communications, public relations, or technology management.
Applications are scheduled to close on June 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. East African Time. Applicants are required to submit documents in person to the board’s offices at Old Mutual Towers in Nairobi, in sealed envelopes clearly marked with the position title and reference number.
The board said female applicants and persons living with disabilities are encouraged to apply as part of its equal opportunity recruitment policy.
