Robeson Reeves: "We delivered solid first quarter results across the enterprise and continue to make progress on growing and diversifying our global footprint."
UK online revenue grew 10.5% in constant currency as weaker operators pulled back marketing ahead of the remote gaming duty hike. Bally's Intralot B2C hit $239.9m for the quarter with Segment Adjusted EBITDAR of $87.1m, up from $68.5m on a pro forma basis. North America Interactive added 35.9% growth to $60.5m. On the ground, structural steel was completed on Bally's Chicago in April, the company paid its $500m New York licence fee for the Bronx project, and Star Entertainment's US$390m debt refinancing closed in early May.
The UK tax story isn't settled yet, Q2 will show whether the RGD mitigation plan holds as the market normalises. CEO Robeson Reeves says the UK business "has been robust," but the real test comes when competitors recover their marketing spend. 💡
