Taiwan lottery releases limited edition scratch games

Four new lottery scratch cards have entered the Taiwan lottery market, with players looking at potential prizes of more than NT$1.97bn (£45.3m).

Products of the Taiwan Lottery Co., tickets cost NT$200 (£5) for three of the games, and NT$100 for the ‘Lucky 777’ game which also has the lowest payouts.

The latter seeks to engage lottery players by offering more than 90,000 prizes worth NT$700 or more, and four prizes of NT$700,000 (£16.5k). The mechanics feature two rounds, one of which requires the matching of three symbols for the NT$700 prize, while the other offers a bingo-style game where three more symbols must form a line for the top payout.

‘Prize Hunter’, one of the more costly games, has more than 290,000 prizes awaiting players with a minimum payout of NT$1,000, and six prizes equating to NT$2m each.

Next in line is ‘Instant Prosperity’, which offers the same awards as Prize Hunter. However, this time around the NT$2m prizes are limited to only three.

Lastly, ‘Lucky Slot’ hides more than 150,000 prizes also valued at NT$1,000 or more each, with only four reserved for payouts totaling $NT2m.

These scratch games will be offered as a limited edition, with players able to buy Prizer Hunter and Instant Prosperity tickets up until 21 October, while Lucky Slot and Lucky 777 will be on offer only until 7 October.
