Third Quarter Transfer Brings Total Raised for Education to More Than $8.28 Billion
NASHVILLE– The Tennessee Education Lottery announced its third quarter results today, which bring total net proceeds for education to 3.5 percent higher than the first three quarters of the previous fiscal year.
Additionally, the third quarter transfer of $93,792,000 to the state’s Lottery for Education Account brings the grand total for all Lottery-funded programs to more than $8.28 billion since inception.

Details about the funds generated by the TEL since inception include:
--More than $33.4 billion in gross ticket revenues
--More than $22.6 billion in prizes won by players
--More than $2.1 billion paid in retailer commissions
A record 169,412 Tennessee students benefited from Lottery-funded higher education college scholarships and grants during the 2024-25 academic year, in addition to the thousands who participated in after-school programs throughout the state.
