Novomatic and EQL Games approved in United Arab Emirates
Novomatic and EQL Games have become the latest suppliers to secure license approval in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The approval from the General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) will enable Novomatic to provide its land-based gaming solutions to commercial gaming operators in the jurisdiction.
“Receiving this license as one of the first gaming technology groups worldwide is a significant milestone for Novomatic,” said Novomatic executive board member Stefan Krenn. “This honor reflects our unwavering commitment to offer the most innovative products fulfilling the highest standards of responsible gaming.
“As we enter this exciting opportunity in the United Arab Emirates market, we successfully continue our international expansion strategy.”
Novomatic vice president of global sales and product management Thomas Schmalzer added: “As a leading global player in the gaming industry, Novomatic is excited to bring its cutting-edge product portfolio to this dynamic and rapidly growing market.
“Our latest gaming solutions are designed to deliver exceptional performance to land-based gaming facilities across the United Arab Emirates, ensuring that international players can enjoy their preferred games with the same high standards and quality they expect from other jurisdictions worldwide.”
The GCGRA has also this week granted a gaming-related vendor licence to Kentucky-based lottery supplier EQL Games.
“Securing this license marks a significant step for EQL Games as we continue our mission to bring innovative, secure, and responsible lottery solutions to markets worldwide,” said EQL Games CEO and founder Brad Cummings. “We are honored to be recognized by the UAE’s regulatory authorities and look forward to supporting their vision for a well-regulated digital lottery experience.”
There are now six companies approved as gaming-related vendors in the UAE, with Novomatic and EQL joining Aristocrat Technologies, Smartplay International, Xpoint and PayBy.
Wynn Al Marjan is so far the only company to be granted a land-based gaming facilities licence, while the UAE Lottery operator The Game is currently the only lottery licensee.
