NASHVILLE – The Tennessee Education Lottery today announced its fiscal year-end results, which bring the grand total raised for college scholarships, grants and after-school programs since inception to nearly $8 billion.

With today’s fourth quarter transfer of $103,138,000, total funding for all Lottery-funded education programs is now at $7,954,000,000. More than 2.2 million scholarships and grants have been awarded to Tennessee students, and funding has been used for an energy-efficient K-12 schools initiative.
Additionally, since inception on Jan. 20, 2004, players have won more than $21.7 billion in prizes and Lottery retailers have been paid more than $2 billion in commissions.
