Three-game scratch ticket family offers $232 million in total cash prizes;
Texas Lottery’s first game launch since transition to new oversight
AUSTIN – Texas Lottery ® players are invited to play for a chance to capture some serious loot in the sparkling new family of Gem 7s scratch ticket games. Launched on Sept. 2, the three-game family – priced at $5, $10 and $20 – offers top prizes ranging from $200,000 all the way up to $1 million.
Together, Emerald 7s, Ruby 7s and Diamond 7s combine to feature over 7.3 million total winning tickets for the taking, with cash prizes totaling more than $232 million.
“We’re excited to introduce the Gem 7s family of scratch ticket games, offering Texas Lottery players a treasure trove of fun and excitement with multiple chances to win,” said Sergio Rey, interim deputy executive director of the Texas Lottery. “Whether your gem of choice is a diamond, ruby or emerald, there’s a glittering game for everyone to choose. We encourage our players to play responsibly and we look forward to celebrating our winners and generating important revenue for public education in Texas through the sale of these three games.”
The Gem 7s games are the Texas Lottery’s first games to launch since oversight of its functions and activities were transferred to the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) on Sept. 1.
“While the Texas Lottery is now under new leadership, its mission remains the same – to responsibly offer entertaining lottery products that generate important revenue for public education and veterans’ services, while upholding the highest standards of security, integrity and responsible gaming,” said Courtney Arbour, executive director of TDLR. “Players can continue enjoying their favorite games with the same experience that they have come to expect.”
Gem 7s Scratch Ticket Games:
- With four $1 million top prizes up for grabs, Diamond 7s will be every player’s best friend. Each ticket in the family’s $20 game offers 32 chances to win and contains more than 2.6 million winning tickets that offer over $137 million in total cash prizes – including more than 115,000 prizes worth between $200 and $1,000.
- Delivering flawless excitement, Ruby 7s is the gem in the family that is not just for special occasions. For $10, each ticket includes four separate games with chances to win a cash prize up to $500,000. Throughout the game, Ruby 7s has over 2.1 million winning tickets with more than $57 million in total cash prizes – including more than 115,000 prizes valued between $100 and $1,000.
- Emerald 7s sparkles with the rich green of four $200,000 top prizes. The precious $5 game includes two separate games and offers over 2.6 million winning tickets that combine for more than $38 million in total cash prizes.
All three games are now available at Texas Lottery retail locations. Players can use the Scratch Ticket and Retailer Locator on the Texas Lottery website or on the Texas Lottery® App to find games in their area. The Texas Lottery reminds the public that anyone buying a ticket must be 18 or older and that tickets must not be purchased for minors.
