Countdown to $1.5 billion Powerball drawing tomorrow night
JOHNSTON, Iowa (Dec. 19, 2025) – The countdown is on for Powerball’s highly-anticipated drawing tomorrow night, with the jackpot estimated at $1.50 billion. The jackpot has an updated cash value estimated at $689.3 million.
WHAT
Saturday’s jackpot ranks as the fifth largest in the Powerball® game and the seventh largest among U.S. lottery jackpots.
National ticket sales have more than doubled over the past week, increasing 114.68% for last Wednesday’s drawing compared the previous Wednesday drawing on Dec. 10.
Based on historic sales trends, game leaders forecast that most ticket sales for Saturday’s drawing will occur tomorrow in the final hours leading up to the Powerball drawing.
WHEN
The next Powerball drawing will take place at the Florida Lottery draw studio in Tallahassee at 10:59 pm ET on Saturday, Dec. 20. The drawing will be broadcast live by carrier stations across the country and live streamed on Powerball.com. A recorded clip of the drawing will be available to view on the Powerball YouTube channel, shortly after the drawing concludes.
WHERE
Powerball tickets are sold in 45 states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Tickets are $2 per play. Ticket sale cut-off times vary by jurisdiction but typically occur 1-2 hours before the scheduled drawing.
