By Kate Northrop

Last week, the Mississippi Lottery launched its first-ever $30 scratch-off ticket — the most a player can pay for a single ticket in the state.

The Mississippi Lottery's $30 scratch-off ticket just hit the shelves last week, ready to offer players a chance for bigger prizes in exchange for a heftier price tag.

The game is called "Millionaire Maker," and it offers ten top prizes of $1 million with base prizes of $50 and $125 million in total cash prizes. It also brings players a chance to enter the Lottery's biggest second-chance bonus promotion ever, the Lottery said.

Players who purchase the $30 "Millionaire Maker" instant game can enter their non-winning tickets into the promotion, which will give away more than $200,000 in cash prizes across six separate drawings and entry periods. Five drawings each award six prizes ranging from $1,000 to $15,000, with the sixth and final drawing offering prizes ranging from $5,000 to $25,000.

The current entry period for the first drawing is live. The entry deadline is Jan. 16, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Central Time, with the draw scheduled for Jan. 19, 2026.Winning city information is announced the Tuesday after each drawing on Facebook Live at 10:00 a.m. by the Lottery.

The entry period for the final drawing on June 15, 2026 is also live and will include all entries submitted now through June 14, 2026.

Players can enter the promotion by visiting the Lottery's website or downloading the Lottery's official mobile app.

"Millionaire Maker" also offers 15 second-tier prizes of $100,000 and 50 third-tier prizes of $50,000. One of the $100,000 prizes has already been claimed.

The overall odds of winning any prize in the game are 1 in 3.84.
