Rhode Island Lottery reports $315.5 million in sales for 2025

The Rhode Island Lottery reported a 1% increase in annual sales for fiscal year 2025, reaching $315.5 million, according to data from the  Auditor General of Rhode Island. Total transfers to the state’s General Fund were $433.6 million, with video lottery terminals accounting for the majority of gross profit. Key highlights from the 2025 fiscal report:

  • Total Sales: $315.5 million.
  • State Transfer: $433.6 million to the General Fund (up $7.2 million from the previous year).
  • Video Lottery: Contributed $313.6 million in gross profit.
  • iGaming: Generated $20.8 million in its first full year of operations.
  • Other Channels: Online games profit fell by 16.1%, and sportsbook profit decreased by 3.2%.

The report indicated a rebound in gambling revenue, largely driven by mobile, despite declines in specific sectors like traditional online games and sports betting due to increased competition.
