The Massachusetts Lottery reported fiscal year 2025 (FY25) sales of approximately $5.93 to $5.96 billion

The  Massachusetts Lottery produced an estimated $1.065 billion in net profit for fiscal year 2025, with total revenue consistently exceeding $6 billion annually.

While  FY2024 set a record of $6.168 billion, the Lottery continues to be a top revenue generator for local aid.

Key products include high-performing  Keno ($1.285B in FY25) and instant scratch tickets.

Key 2025-2026 Sales & Data Highlights:

FY 2025 Performance: Estimated $1.065 billion in net profit, marking the fifth consecutive year exceeding $1 billion. Keno Record: Keno sales reached a record $1.285 billion in FY2025. Draw Game Growth:  FY2024 saw record draw game sales of $848.3 million due to high-jackpot Powerball and Mega Millions, though FY2025 saw a dip in these specific, high-jackpot games. New Offerings: The lottery is launching new instant games in Jan 2026, including a $30 crossword-style ticket with a $10 million top prize. Online Sales:  The Lottery plans to launch online sales in late 2025. Retail Impact: The network of over 7,500 retailers is crucial, with $350.7 million in commissions and bonuses paid out in FY2024. Recent Performance:  August 2025 sales were $570.2 million, a 3.1% increase over August 2024.  

The lottery remains a major source of unrestricted local aid for all 351 cities and towns in Massachusetts.
